Social media has become a marketer's goldmine. It's mostly free of charge to use and it doesn't take a lot of energy to get your most wanted results… well most of the time. The results I'm chatting about here is getting leads and turning those leads into paying customers. Because there are scores of platforms to choose from I've determined to narrow my discussion down to Facebook and as you read I'll impart with you some tips that will move you from the ranks of Spammer to Marketeer.
I've seen so scores of people trying the Facebook marketing methodology, but I'm not confident that they are seeing the outcome they are looking for. Most of the so called Facebook marketers out there don't market at all; they are just spamming. Splashing their adds and businesses everywhere and on walls to try to get as many people to see it, whether you want to or not.
This is why this methodology to marketing on Facebook is not pleasant:
1. This wrecks your credibility.
2. Most people don't care what you have to offer.
This is by no means an exhaustive list but I wanted to share it with you because as I use Facebook everyday and I see this stuff on my wall and I get so aggravated that somebody that I don't even know has the audacity to place their face, phone number, and "Amazing Opportunity" without even asking me if I wanted to even be educated of its existence!
I'm so happy I got that off my chest. But for real, if you are out there doing that, just STOP THIS INSTANT, you are only hurting yourself.
As an alternative do this…
All social marketing, including Facebook, starts and ends with you. You being a nice, bona fide individual that somebody, anybody would like to converse with, connect with, share and hopefully if you've played your cards right, buy from. This is very effortless to do, it's all about being who you are and sharing who you'd like to become; even who you are becoming.
People like to watch people, especially interesting people, and if you are sincere and interesting and you can add meaning to other people's lives… they will worship you. They will keep an eye on you, they will see you as an expert and accept (buy) your suggestions.
So as you are relating with persons on Facebook take time to actually talk to the people you ask to be friends. Make sure that when you talk you are not spammy (you know what I mean), many times they will ask you what you do, then there is your moment to "pitch". But initially focus on them and how you can assist them. I swear, when you focus on truly connecting with and getting to know your prospects, before you ask them for money, your success will grow exponentially.
Here's an extra quick and easy tip. Take some time and develop a group and tempt people to join. Don't use this group to push your business either… okay maybe a little, but there's a way to do it that is so efficient and people won't be annoyed that you offered something to them.
As you have been adding value to your members' lives and sincerely showing them that you are involved in their happiness and success, because you are, then in you updates or email blasts reveal how you life is better because of your _.
I'm certain you get the picture. You can do this on a group level because you are the one who created the group and every person in your group is a lead for you. This is nice because a usual person on Facebook is restricted to how many friends you can have and how many people you can email. But as a leader of a group your growth is unrestricted.
Maintain your mindset as others-focused. Thinking only of yourself does not produce the desired results you want; if you can help others reach their dreams and aspisations you will find yourself realizing your own quicker than you think.
